Mal País/Santa Teresa región is located in Nicoya Peninsula, Puntarenas province, about 150 kilometres west of San José.

Renting a car is a very good option. Remember to check the ferry schedule before leaving. (Info: Naviera Tambor 2661-2084).

Many visitors fly to San Jose and catch a connecting flight to Tambor. There are two small airlines, Nature Air and Sansa, that serves Tambor. Mal País/Santa Teresa are approximately 45 minutes drive from Tambor airport.
